lauren and joe have succeeded in business without really trying.

  1. I've found that holiday newsletters I've received make for great entertainment when shared as dramatic readings during family gatherings. Sort of a fictional genre subset.

  3. I get a little bummed when I get a holiday card with no update insert. How can I judge your life choices if you leave me no material? (Font choice is a decent back up)

    ....

But I think my cynicism is a cover up for the fact that I do actually like getting holiday updates and I think I'm the only person under 90 who is into it.

what's weird(er) is when you receive a holiday card from a friend who you didn't was the newsletter type AND THEY TALK ABOUT YOU IN THE LETTER. WTF.

  5. I'm a holiday letter writer...will you still be my friend? Putting the 7th to bed this year, almost can't believe it.
